How do I add more than one attribute to an item?

Can anybody help me with this? For example, a sword that when equipped it grants +10 attack and +5 defense to the user

I don't think it can be done.
At least, not with the editor.

Has anyone done it?

I saw it was done in Shining force CL. I opened the rom in the editor and tried to learn how it was done, but I suspect it wasn't done in the editor. It was done in almost all items, and the mod works well, though.
In the editor, the attribute shows up as "?" instead of attack of defense, for example.

It is possible, but not with the SF1 Editor. Xeno was able to through hex editing.
