Guys, this is amazing! When I was younger, I discovered Shining Force through the GBA version of the first game without ever trying to look at other possible entries. To this day, that gba title remains one of my all time favorite games. Imagine my surprise as upon finally getting around to emulate the Sega consoles games I came across not one or two games, but a whole franchise.
I replayed the gba version a few weeks ago, and finally started the Genesis version. I'm falling in love all over again (even without the presence of an inventory, the run button, or the character cards). I had to go online to see if I was one of a few adepts or if a community existed.
I have no experience in the modding scene, and I still haven't played the other games (looking forward to the 2nd one)
