I find the first one more iconic (we could argue on that on a different thread), but I guess you're right on having Nei there. By the way, we could try to make a full list of characters that could make it to the game.

Hahaha It would be great! :) No way I can get those battle sprites done by myself. I'll focus on editing characters, classes, spells, items, etc. And the joining events.

I thought of putting him instead of Wren. But since the game wasn't really devolped by Sega, I went with the Phantasy Star cyborg. Same about some late Treasure games, like Gunstar Heroes and Dynamite Headdy. Well, maybe, if Extended Characters are to be used, they could be inserted too.
