Enemy Birdman

Enemy/Boss Enemy Birdman

This seems oddly familiar... is it from Suikoden ?
Yes! The original guy from suikoden didn't have a sword, and actually attacked with his feet, harpy style, so it took some love to turn it into a proper Shining Force birdman

Looks great, but I think you should make his attack frames a bit more aggressive ;) Other than that, it's good to have a bit more variety for the enemies - it's a thing SF games always lacked, IMO.

I'm always positive for attack frames looking as aggressive as they can, but I wouldn't really know what to add/change anymore. Do you have any suggestion?

Here's what I've had in mind :)

Moved idle, 1st attack and evade frames a bit higher, placed the hit frame closer to the edge.

Yes, thats the intended use, the editor allows you to place the frames wherever you like in the animation. I usually place the animation so that they hit right in your face, lol.

Seeing this being implemented as SF battle spriteset, I looked at the others Suikoden sprites and as I can see, many of them could serve as enemies or even bosses, if you want (especially the large ones like Colossus etc).

BTW, by what percent did you enlarge the sprites and what interpolation method did you use for it? They are small enough, IIRC.

Yes, I totally recommend Suikoden and Suikoden 2 as sprites sources (available in The Spriters Resource).

For this one in particular, I didn't use resizing, it was kinda medium sized, and adding the sword made it big enough.

If you're going to port Suikoden assets, you might want to ask me before doing it, since I've already ported a handful of them, and I could give them to you.
Edit: i checked, I have Birdman (Eagleman), Banshee, and Ghost Armor. Im higly interested in that armadillo (since guntz is the only armadillo, but there should be more in the sf universe) but ii dont have space anymore in my mod, and it should be resized.
