How to add artwork resource to your shining force ROM

Hey! I'm new to this whole rom hacking world but ive been a long lover of Shining Force! i would love to make the game even better by adding in some of the awesome artwork for sprites ive seen But i do not not know how to add the resources to my game... anyone care to give me a quick tutorial or link to a video or webiste that explains it?

There's already the Graphics Upgrade mod, which focus exactly on that, but if you want to do it by yourself, you should use the Shining Force Editor.
