Really enjoying this mod and the rebalancing. Great work! I had a couple of questions.
1 - Are all "hidden chests" troll chests? e.g. beneath the tree in Ribble and the dessert shrine to the east.
2 - I am close to promoting. Any recommendations on who to use special promotion items on? I see that the special promotions substitute a summon spell for their elemental attack. Are there any other perks? For example, in the vanilla version I always preferred Baron Jaha over Gladiator Jaha for the bonus movement and use of swords. I preferred Sorcerer Kazin, and Rick as the Pegasus Knight. Karna as Monk.
Yeah those are all troll chests, sorry. Even if you hack the game and move your character to them they are empty chests.
For special promtions, here are my suggestions:
Secret Book - This has the most options: Aurora, Lapis, Enya, Urboson, Deedlit. Personally my favorite is lapis, but I'm a little bias since I made her.
-Aurora - Loses Renew for Neptune. Not worth the trade. She also gains way more HP, but at the cost of all other stats. And loses Minor Ice resist. But she looks really cool.
-Lapis - Trades Mend & Ice for Neptune & Altas. Neptune comes on really early and is super powerful. It does use a LOT of MP so grab some scrolls or bright honeys for her. Ice does have a lot of range, so I usually give her a pimento if I go this route. She gains an Insane amount of DEF, so if you level her up a bit, she can take some hits. But loses a bit of HP, MP, ATT (doesn't matter) and AGL. She only gets Ice Minor resist instead of Major too. But overall an interesting choice. I personally like it, but I like both versions of her TBH.
-Enya - Loses blaze for Apollo. Gains WAY more HP, but loses MP, ATT(doesn't matter) def and AGI. If you really wanna go big on ignite the HP here can help. I think this is my #2 pick
-Urboson - Loses Bolt for Neptune. With only 4 MOV, bolt has the range to compensate for this, Neptune doesn't. Plus loses HP, MP, ATT, AGI for tons of DEF. But if you give them a pimento and level them a bit for the nice def, you can make it work. Personally I think losing Bolt makes it not worth it, especially since Neptune doesn't come on until level 7 making it hard to get kills/xp with just Blast/Desoul
-Deedlit - Okay I really like this one too. She trades Ice, Chain, Attack for Neptune, Dao, Atlas, making her the most sorcerer out of the bunch. Also she keep egress if you end up dropping Diana. She gets huge DEF, but at the cost of a little HP, MP, ATT, AGL. I've used this one and after you get her some levels her DEF makes her able to be a frontliner and take a few hits. Super fun to use.
Warriors Pride - Khan and Rulikar are the two options for this.
-Khan gets more ATT but less DEF as Baron (plus 1 MOV) He doesn't really need more ATT as its insanly high either way. Barons also get better crit and can use more weapons (axes, hammers, & Swords)
-Rulikar - I usually do Rulikar with this. More ATT, plus the + MOV really helps him out, but he does lose some DEF so watch out for that. If I keep them both I use this on Rulikar and the running ring on Khan.
Silver Tank - Charlie is the only option for this and I would highly suggest it. He gets higher ATT & DEF, but at the cost of AGI and -1 MOV. However he gets brass gunner movement instead of centaur, which ignores a lot more terrain types, so overall his movement it better. He does also get a better critical but a worse double chance.
Pegasus Wing - Vay or Kirie can both use it, and if your going to keep one of them I'd suggest to go pegasus. They get more DEF and AGI and gain Stealth movement which ignores more terrain types. But they do lose some HP.
Vigor Ball (2) - Master monks, there are two options and two items so lots of fun. Seraphim and Buddy are your two options.
-Seraphim, I'd say no, unless you really want to push him for some Melee combat. He is mostly setup for healing and going mastermonk gives him less MP & AGI, loses Status Resist Minor, but gets more HP, ATT, and DEF. Plus Gloves vs Staffs.
-Buddy is kinda how you wanna use him. I like to go Master monk (first he looks super cool) and he has a better base ATT to be able to go mastermonk. Same stuff as Seraphim basically. Just depends if you want more MP for his spells, or if you want him to punch people in the face better.
Let me know if this helps, and love to hear how people are enjoying the mod, it always warms my heart.
Been slugging away at the next update which will fix all the dialog issues, and lots of minor bugs (plus a few major ones).
